Autism is a complex condition, not a preventable disease

THANK YOU, Lisa Rozner and CBS New York, for covering why families such as mine are disheartened when Secretary Kennedy called autism a ‘preventable disease’. While I am not a doctor, I have learned from our clinical team that autism is a complex neurodevelopmental condition that varies widely from person to person. Families like mine need access to therapies, services and schools. Cuts to Medicaid and changes to special education programs are not just bad policy—they hurt real kids like mine who rely on them every single day. When the link is live, I will post it here!
