My Story

Because Every Parent Deserves Someone Who Gets It

What began as my family’s journey has become my mission: helping other parents feel informed, connected, and confident as they navigate the path ahead.

I know what it feels like to wonder if you’re asking the right questions.

I’m Beth — mom to two neurodivergent kids, navigating the beautiful, complex, and often overwhelming life of parenting in New York City.
I’ve sat in the appointments. Searched for answers at midnight. Advocated in IEP meetings. Celebrated the small wins. And carried the heavy stuff, too.
If you’re here, I see you. And you’re not alone.

My journey

What began as a search for answers for my own children became years of learning, listening, and advocacy.

Along the way, I met incredible professionals, found supportive communities, and learned how powerful the right information — and the right person — can be.

It shaped not only how I parent, but how I now support others.

Looking back, those experiences gave me something incredibly valuable: perspective.

They allow me to sit with another parent and honestly say, “I understand.”

How Beth Would Know began

It started quietly. A friend texted. Then another. Soon, more parents were reaching out — asking for resources, a second opinion, or just someone to talk to.

Conversations grew longer. The patterns became clear. Families needed more than information. They needed someone to listen, help make sense of things, and point them in the right direction.
Beth Would Know was born from that need.

It isn't about having all the answers, It's about helpfing you feel informed, supported and less alone.

I also own Doubet Consulting, a strategic marketing communications and public relations firm. My professional background strengthens the way I advocate, connect, and communicate on behalf of families.
