Where ever you are, that's exactly where we start

Every family comes to me from a different place. Some are just finding their footing in the school system. Some are in the middle of something hard and need a steady, experienced voice. Some have a big meeting coming up and want to walk in feeling ready. No starting point is better or worse than another. They’re all valid — and they’re all the right time to call.

I am afraid. don’t know where to begin.
For parents who’ve recently received a diagnosis, or who sense something is different about their child but aren’t sure how the system works or what options exist. We start from the beginning. I’ll help you understand the landscape of New York City’s school options — what different placements actually mean, what your rights are, and what questions you should be asking. You’ll leave our first conversation knowing there’s a path forward, and that you’re not finding it alone.

I’m in a difficult situation with a school. For parents who feel like the school isn’t listening, a placement isn’t right, or they’re being pushed in a direction that doesn’t feel right for their child.I help you see the situation more clearly — what the school is actually obligated to do, what your real options are, and the most effective way to move forward. I’ll help you prepare for hard conversations, and I’ll tell you honestly when it’s time to bring in someone else, like an education attorney or advocate.

I need a cheerleader. I have a big meeting coming up.For parents facing an IEP meeting, a CSE hearing, a placement review, or a difficult conversation with a school administrator. We prepare together. I’ll help you understand what’s in the documents, what the school is likely to say, what you have the right to ask for, and how to advocate for your child without feeling steamrolled. You’ll leave knowing exactly what you want to say — and why.

I just need someone to think this through with. For parents who aren’t in crisis, but are navigating something complicated and want a trusted, experienced voice. Someone who’s been there. Someone who will tell you what they actually think. We talk. I listen, ask questions, and share my honest perspective. At the end of every session, I give you my read of the situation, my personal recommendations, and clear next steps. I often follow up by email with resources, contacts, or anything else that feels relevant to where you are.

I’m a connector by nature. I love meeting people, and navigating my own children’s needs was no different. Over the years I’ve built real relationships with the experts families often need most. Some I’ve hired myself. All of them I trust.I can connect you with neuropsychologists and evaluators, special education attorneys and advocates, therapists and support services, and parent groups and community organizations.
